About Lab

As the old English proverb goes,"Good health is above wealth", it is without a doubt that we prioritize our health above all else and wish for long healthy lives. A brilliant development in technology has enabled an expansion of medical breakthrough, contributed by scientists and doctors from all over the world. Not only have we come up with a way to treat different kinds of human diseases that once had been defined as death toll, but we discovered clear symptoms of certain diseases so they can be detected at early stage and treated. We, analytical chemists, research and study the change in patterns of proteins or metabolites taking place inside the human body and discover biomarkers in an attempt for an early diagnostic test.

Research in Prof. Myeong Hee Moon's group is focused on developing variant separation methods based on Field-Flow Fractionation (FFF) and discovering biomarkers of human diseases using FFF, nanoflow liquid chromatography, and electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry.
